For newcomers to the game, the recommended starting difficulty is 'Normal' mode, offering a balanced challenge for those stepping into the fray for the first time. Whether you are a lone stalwart defender or joined by up to three comrades, your shared objective remains clear: keep the zombies at bay and safeguard the castle at all costs. Survive through a total of 12 grueling waves of the undead onslaught, and emerge victorious as the savior of your fortress.

Control schemes for players are as follows: Player 1 can maneuver using the keys W, A, S, D, switch weapons with Q, and enter or exit the base with E.
